Plumbing services based in Cave Creek, AZ.

Capstone Plumbing works from a small shop at 6528 E Cave Creek Rd, Suite A — old town Cave Creek, up the road from Frontier Town, under Black Mountain. Call (602) 510-1614 and you reach a woman-owned crew dispatching from inside the town it serves, not a call center.

What that buys you is a straight answer. We'd rather show you what's actually failing — and what still has life in it — than sell you the biggest option on the truck. Some visits end in a repair; some end with a note to keep an eye on something and call us next year. Both are fine by us.

About Capstone

A woman-owned Cave Creek plumbing company.

Capstone opened in 2023, started by a husband-and-wife team who wanted to run a plumbing shop the way they thought one should be run — experience first, teaching over selling, and work that holds up. More than 25 years of combined industry experience sits behind the crew.

The name is the point. A capstone is the last stone set, the piece everything underneath is counted on to meet. That's the bar: understand the problem before we touch it, lay out the options in plain language, and leave the decision with you.

What we do

Plumbing repair, water heaters and drain service in Cave Creek.

Hard water at 15–20+ grains, caliche under every yard, monsoon grit washing into the drains, and homes running on city supply, wells or septic depending on the street — desert plumbing has its own rules.

It shows up in the work. A water heater that would last a decade somewhere else scales up and quits early here. Drains that behaved all spring back up in August. A softener sized for city tap in Scottsdale is sized wrong for a well north of Carefree.

So the jobs below are the ones we do every day, out of the shop on Cave Creek Rd — diagnosed before they're quoted, priced flat, and explained to you before anyone starts.

"Steven was very knowledgeable and talented. He installed a new back flow prevention device to prevent my sprinkler system from back-feeding into the main supply. He was able to answer all of my questions and ensured the system was tested and good before he left. I will definitely use Capstone for any future plumbing needs."

"Capstone was quick and efficient. They arrived on time and the work was of a high quality. This will be my go to plumbing service for the foreseeable future. I’d also like to recognize Bradley who completed the job. He was absolutely professional during the install."

Good to know

Plumbing FAQs for the North Valley.

Do you charge for estimates? +
Estimates on installs and replacements — water heaters, softeners and similar projects — are free. When a problem needs real diagnosis (a hidden leak, a heater that won't fire, a drain that keeps backing up), we send a professional plumber to your home for a flat $89 assessment — so you get a real answer instead of a phone guess.
How fast can you get to me? +
We book same-day service (when scheduling allows) Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, across the North Valley. We're based in Cave Creek, so Cave Creek, Carefree and north Scottsdale are usually our fastest windows. Call (602) 510-1614 and we'll give you an honest ETA — not a four-hour maybe.
Why does my Arizona home need a water softener? +
Phoenix-area water runs 15–20+ grains per gallon — among the hardest in the country. That scale shortens the life of water heaters and appliances, clogs fixtures, and dries out skin. A properly sized water softener typically pays for itself in appliance lifespan alone.
Are you licensed and insured? +
Yes — Capstone Plumbing LLC holds Arizona ROC license #349088 and is fully bonded and insured. We're a woman-owned, independent local company, and the plumbers who show up work for us, not a lead-generation network.
Should I repair or replace my water heater? +
Rule of thumb: if the tank itself is leaking, replace it. If it's under 8 years old with a fixable part — element, thermostat, valve — repair usually wins. We'll give you both numbers upfront and tell you which one we'd pick for our own house. More on our water heater page.
